General FAQ

  • My docter referred me to your practice, how do I make an appointment?

    Our team will reach out once we receive a referral from a doctor. If you would like to get ahead, contact our new patient department at (323) 760-9757 and someone will be in touch

  • What should I bring to my first appointment?

    For your first appointment, make sure you have:

    • Photo ID 
    • Insurance cards 
    • Surgical or N95 mask
    • Registration packet, medical records
    • List of questions for your doctor (optional) 
  • What is CareSpace and how do I set it up?

    CareSpace is your patient portal. You can communicate with your care team, see lab slips & results, see appointment times, and more. Log into your account here.

  • I lost my appointment card or lab slip; how do I get another one?

    You can call the office, login to your CareSpace portal to see all scheduled appointment times, or email your care team. 

  • What should I wear to my first day of treatment?

    There will likely be bloodwork and vitals, so wear loose, comfortable clothing, with access to arm or chest.

  • What can I expect on my first day of treatment?

    Depending on what treatment, it can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 5 hours. Contact your clinic to confirm duration and prepare for that length. 


    On your first day of treatment, you will: 

    • meet with your oncologist for any last minute questions 
    • meet your nurses and care team who will explain the treatment in detail and provide educational information. 
  • Can I eat during my treatment? What should I bring?

    Always verify with your doctor before your appointment. But usually, unless they have specified not to, you can bring snacks and drinks into the infusion room. Contact your clinic to confirm duration and prepare for that length. Wi-fi is available for patients. Bring whatever you’d like to keep you entertained. Some people bring the following: 


    • Books 
    • Music 
    • Crosswords/sudoku 
    • Laptop/tablet 
    • Snacks/beverage
  • Can I bring my family or children to my appointment?

    Patients can bring a caregiver or family member to the MD appointment for support. However, generally only patients are allowed in the infusion room. While we love children, nobody under 18 is permitted in our clinics due to safety precautions. 

  • Is there Wi-Fi avaliable?

    Yes, there is Wi-Fi available. The clinic staff can share this information with you. 

  • How do I get my lab/ test results?

    Your doctor will discuss lab results with you at your next appointment. Our staff does their best notify you as soon as possible once your lab results are ready, but they can also be viewed in your CareSpace portal once the doctor has reviewed them. 

  • Do I have to wear a mask in your clinic?

    Yes, surgical or N-95 masks covering nose and mouth are required in the clinic setting. Unless patients are eating, drinking, or taking medications, the mask must remain on at all times. Our staff wear masks as well.  

  • What are your COVID precautions?

    All rooms and infusion chairs are sanitized in between patient visits, and all surfaces are routinely cleaned. The staff always wear masks to keep patients safe, and staff are vaccinated according to the CDC guidelines. We follow the most up-to-date CDC COVID-19 prevention guidelines for patient and staff safety, as well as the exposure precautions and guidelines.

    Garage parking available $10 per hour, $20 daily limit

  • Burbank Toluca Lake Center

    Garage parking available $1.50 per 15 minutes, or $13.75 daily maximum . Free street parking available, 2 hour limit

  • Good Samaritan Medical Pavilion

    Garage parking available at 1317 Shatto St. $1 per 10 minutes, or $10 daily maximum 

  • Glendale Memorial Medical Pavilion

    Garage parking available, office can validate ticket and it will cost $1. Without validation $7  

  • Glendale Adventist Health Medical Center

    Garage parking available, $1.50 minimum, $1 per 20 m, or $6.50 daily maximum. Handicapped placard pays $1 

  • Lakewood Regional Medical Center

    Plenty of free parking in the lot garage

  • Mission Hills Holy Cross Medical Center

    Garage parking available, $1 per 20 minutes, or $9 daily maximum
