Gynecology Oncology
Dr. Fikret Atamdede, MD, was born in Memphis, TN, and moved frequently during his early years before settling in Milwaukee, WI. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1982, followed by a residency in Ob/Gyn at the Medical College of Wisconsin/St. Mary’s Hospital, where he developed an interest in Gynecologic Oncology. Dr. Atamdede completed a fellowship in advanced pelvic and urogynecologic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation before joining the UCLA Medical Center faculty. He contributed to establishing the Ob/Gyn program at Oliveview Medical Center and later completed a Gynecologic Oncology fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center, returning to Los Angeles in 1990 to direct the program at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center.
In 2004, Dr. Atamdede transitioned to full-time private practice, focusing on comprehensive gynecologic oncology care for the South Bay and surrounding regions. Over the years, he has expanded his practice and continues to provide expert care in the field, maintaining his commitment to patient-centered service and growing his practice with additional physicians.
