Nurse Practitioner

Anna Akopyan is a certified Nurse Practitioner and completed her master’s degree at California State University, Los Angeles. She has been an oncology nurse for 5 years now and has a special passion for working with this population. She takes pride in providing holistic intervention, treating her patients in all aspects, and making sure she understands their psychosocial state of being. Anna knows each patient is individual and even with two identical diagnoses and stages, there are two unique experiences, signs, and symptoms. It is important to her to create an environment of safety and comfort for her patients while they go through their diagnoses and treatments. She wants her patients to know “I understand the initial diagnosis of cancer is scary, you have feelings of doom but I’d like for you to remind yourself that not everyone dies with cancer diagnosis, there are various stages and treatments. Try to be positive, be open, self educate and ask the silliest questions, we’re here to alleviate your anxiety.” In her free time, she loves cooking, reading, and watching comedy.
