Asna Shilleh is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner and completed her master’s degree at Western University of Health Sciences. She has worked as a Medical-Surgical and Pulmonary Telemetry registered nurse at Queen of the Valley Hospital and Keck Medicine of USC. She chose to specialize in oncology due to personal experience of taking care of a family member fighting cancer. As a teenager, she saw how vulnerable cancer patients and families are and wanted to be able to help others in the future. She enjoys working at LACN because it is a team of individuals who have a strong desire to improve the quality of life of their patients. Asna loves connecting with patients about their illness, personal life, and helping them understand what their diagnosis means for them. Her favorite part of the job is telling patients good news and seeing tears of joy. She wants all patients to know that “Cancer is frightening, but it cannot cripple love, it cannot shatter hope, and it cannot conquer the spirit.”
Asna is a member of the Greater Los Angeles Oncology Nursing Society, and she is a receiver of a Daisy award for providing outstanding care as a nurse. In her free time, Asna loves hiking, spending time with friends, and being a foodie.
