Nurse Practitioner

Polly Lin is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in critical care and hematology/oncology. She completed her master’s degree at Azusa Pacific University. She chose oncology because it is both challenging and rewarding, but ultimately a privilege to be able to help patients during a highly vulnerable stage of their life.

Polly chose to work at LA Cancer Network because her values of providing compassionate and devoted care to patients are aligned with LACN’s mission. It’s important to her to educate, support, and empower patients and their families in every step of their journey. Her favorite part of her job is seeing patients conquer their diagnoses. Polly believes caring for a patient goes beyond medicine, and she likes to take holistic approaches, and emphasizing quality of life. She puts patients at ease by actively listening to them and ensuring they fully understand their diagnosis, by providing as much information as possible and answering any and all questions they may have.

Her message to patients is “There is no right way to deal with a cancer diagnosis. It can be scary and everyone’s journey is different, but as your provider, I promise you that we will find a plan that best fits your needs and support you every step of the way”.

Her passion outside of helping humans is helping dogs! She recently saved a dog from the euthanasia list by providing shelter until they were able to find a forever home. She spends her free time cuddling with her dog while reading, doing puzzles, or spending time with her family.
